Colleen Marcotte, owner of CMarcotteSafety, has over 10 years experience in the construction safety industry which includes leadership and mentoring, human resources, marketing and systems development.
Colleen obtained her NCSO designation in 2008 and has both assisted with and developed many safety programs since that time. She assisted with the development and implementation of the first residential construction company in Saskatoon to be COR certified.
As a Safety Advisor for the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) for almost 4 years, she worked with over 50 companies and provided advice and guidance in the development of both COR and SECOR programs. Colleen also provided leadership and mentoring to a group of 6 advisors during this time in both the residential and commercial/industrial industries. As well, during her time at the SCSA, she provided management leadership when required.
As a Health & Safety Manager, Colleen performed all functions of health and safety management and maintained all legal requirements on site and in the fab shop. She participated in all functions of the safety program, including investigations, inspections, audits, safety meetings, and hazard assessments. Conducting orientations and training sessions, tracking training requirements, analyzing and tracking statistics and managing the ISNetworld and GPS accounts.
Colleen is well versed in the management and development of programs for ISNetworld compliance and can assist in the pre-qualification for owner clients.
Colleen has been a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers (CSSE) since 2009 and participates in the Regional Safety Committee as well as attends various safety events throughout the province, including NAOSH.
